The Usagidoshi Shugo is intended to provide general disaster protection and wellbeing for your entire household during the year of the rabbit.

Left text: 家内安全 Kanai Anzen (Household Safety and Wellbeing)
Middle text: 卯歳守護 Usagidoshi Shugo (Rabbit Year Safeguard)
Right text: 災難消除 Sainan Shoujo (Disaster Elimination)

Installation: Traditionally the Shugo would be placed on the outer gate facing out to guard against negative energy coming into the house. In modern practice, most people will place it inside their entrance.

• Place the Shugo higher than eye-level on the wall above or beside your door, facing south or east if possible.

Duration: This Shugo is thought to absorb negative energy so it is traditional to replace it annually.
