Description
SNAKE YEAR YAKUYA ARROW
GOOD LUCK AND AVERT MISFORTUNE
THIS ITEM HAS ARRIVED!
This arrow is intended to bring good luck and break the power of misfortune especially during the year of the Snake. If you feel like you’ve had a particularly unlucky year, this arrow may also help to symbolically break that cycle.
This arrow comes with a limited edition Year Of the Snake Ema wishing plaque. Both the arrow’s ribbon and the Ema show the kanji for Kaiun Shōfuku 開運招福 (Inviting good fortune). The Snake has long been revered as a symbol of resurrection and rebirth because it abandons its old skin and is reborn in a new form by molting. This Ema symbolizes a chance for a fresh start.
This arrow has been carefully handcrafted in Japan and includes an Ema plaque and sacred 5-color tassel.
This arrow is 28″ (70cm) in length.
Duration: This arrow is thought to bring good luck and absorb negative energy and bad luck for one year, so it is traditional to return it to the shrine at the end of the year. In January, returned arrows are ritually burnt to symbolically separate you from any bad luck, and give you and your family a fresh start in the new year.
Arrow price includes additional shipping fees due to its non-standard size.
Each arrow has one (1) Ema. The image also shows a second picture of the ema for more detail.
